GAO: Credit Cards are Maybe Not So Nice, But We're Not Sure

In which the government publishes what, no doubt, was once an interesting report before a few committees watered it down before it got Adobe'd. That said, we recommend reading it because we are working on an investigation having to do with certain kinds of credit Web sites (can't really say more than that) and they're on our minds. And this report actually does do a good job of explaining to a general audience why credit cards and the American approach to them are, well, one of the things that makes the rest of the world laugh at us.
