Macleans: The Internet Sucks

We'll be interested to read this story when it runs, and not just because it mentions Consumer Reports. By the way, as a former Macleans subscriber, I'd have to say the venerable Candian newsmag has seen better days. It's looking a little, well, almost neocon.

Beau, I think this Macleans statement is "throwing the baby out with the bath water". The Internet does hold great promise for legitimately victimized consumers who research and document their complaints.

CR was mentioned (in a positive way) in this ABC 20/20 webcast "Customers Get Even" = http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=2573727
But, the overall message of 20/20 was one of "audio/visual consumer revenge" vs. consumer justice. Even CR WebWatch probably has been painted as a "revenge" site, which is a distortion of the truth.

See if you agree with my points in "Shouldn't Legitimately Victimized Consumers Get Mad, Then Get Justice vs. "Get Even"?". If so, then feel free to share them as you like.
